Why we can't afford to lose this unique chance? Saving the soil is urgently needed! #SaveSoil

You're probably wondering what's going on with this recent #savesoil bustle. Maybe it bothers you and annoys you, as long as you don't know what's going on.

What's so special about this movement, among many other campaigns that have failed to improve anything?

If you love your children and want the best for the future generations, please take some time to read this till the end. It will only take a few minutes of your time.

From my point of view, all the civic movements are commendable and deserve our attention, but the #savesoil movement has something special: it is for a cause that can't be delayed any longer and it is for a cause that fortunately benefits from the support of a huge personality respected by all world leaders: Jagadish 'Jaggi' Vasudev, known as Sadhguru. Over time, he has been invited to numerous national and international conferences to give talks on peace, saving the planet, and other important topics. All the leaders of the planet agree with him, but so far nothing of real use has been done.

Unless urgent measures are taken to preserve and / or improve the soil, it is estimated that in about 20 years food production will fall by 40%, while the world's population will be 9.3 billion (now only 8 billion). This situation will lead to widespread famine, much more intense population migration and implicitly conflicts that will cover the entire planet. That will be a point in time when nothing can be done to return to the peaceful and prosperous life that most of us enjoy today.

But there's still hope. Sadhguru and the foundation that supports him strongly believe that if enough ordinary people or influencers express concern about this issue and call on governments to adopt legislative packages that will raise the organic content of agricultural soil to at least 3% as a start, then this trend could save humanity from imminent disaster.

In order to draw attention to this issue and to gain the support of the people and governments of the world, Sadhguru took a great risk and he is doing a superhuman effort, leaving on March 21, 2022, on a motorcycle, on a 100-day journey. from the UK to India, covering about 30,000 km and interacting with the population, media institutions and governments of 27 states along his itinerary. Each and every day is full, with no contingency days (either on the road or at meetings with the population, media institutions or governmental and non-governmental institutions). Please hold on tight to the end! We are proud of you and grateful to you Sadhguru!

This special effort prepares a favorable attitude of governments and as much of the world's population for the 15th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP15) in Côte d'Ivoire, May 2022, where Sadhguru is also scheduled to address the audience.

Political leaders from 170 countries are expected to attend UNCCD COP15.

In the same month (Mai), Sadhguru will speak at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos urging leaders to act now to save soil from extinction in their countries.

The Save Soil Movement has prepared documents on soil-friendly guidelines for 192 countries. Separate documents have been prepared taking each country’s latitude, climatic conditions, soil type, agricultural tradition and economic parameters into consideration.

The movement is supported by UNCCD, United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), World Food Programme (WFP) and International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

As you can see, this is a very serious movement, with support from the population but also with support and impact at the global decision-making level. With such high visibility and support, there is a good chance that something can change for the better for our children and our children's children. Otherwise, we will surely be held accountable by future generations for the destruction of the world, not only by the destructive actions of the present generations, but also by our passivity and indifference.

So please I urge you that in addition to posting cute photos with cats and sharing funny jokes, please share posts related to the #SaveSoil movement.

IMPORTANT!

Nobody asks you to go on the street or to fight! All I ask of you is to be informed, to be aware of this movement, for how long it takes place (the 100 days) and to support it through sharing or through a personal post on the subject, from time to time. And keep it positive, don't blame or use bad words! Contributing really does matter, and at least you feel like you've done the bare minimum to avoid a disaster!

Thank you all! Let's make it happen!
